About us.

Building Resilient People. Creating Healthier Workplaces.

At Breathe. Connect. Thrive., we believe that when people have the tools to regulate stress, support one another, and build resilience, individuals flourish, teams perform better, and communities grow stronger.

We have seen firsthand the impact that mental health challenges, stress, and burnout can have on individuals, workplaces, and communities. We also know that early intervention, meaningful connection, and practical wellbeing tools can change lives. That's why Breathe. Connect. Thrive. exists: to empower people and organisations to build resilience, support one another, and create environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

About Jess

Jess is the founder of Breathe. Connect. Thrive., bringing more than 10 years of experience across Employment Services, Disability Employment Services, and specialised mental health programs.

Having lived in the region since her teenage years, Jess is deeply connected to the local community and understands the unique challenges faced by individuals, families, employers, and service providers throughout regional Queensland. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside people experiencing a range of barriers to employment and wellbeing, helping them build confidence, resilience, and pathways to meaningful participation in work and community life.

As a mother of a young family, Jess understands firsthand the realities of balancing career, family, personal wellbeing, and the many competing demands that life can bring. This lived experience has strengthened her passion for helping others develop practical tools to manage stress, build resilience, and prioritise their mental wellbeing.

Jess has a particular interest in supporting women and mothers returning to the workforce, recognising the unique pressures of navigating career goals while managing family responsibilities. She is passionate about creating environments where women feel empowered, supported, and able to thrive both professionally and personally.

She is also a strong advocate for increasing awareness and support around men's mental health. Having seen the impact that stress, isolation, and mental health challenges can have on individuals, families, and communities, Jess believes there is a critical need for more open conversations, education, and practical wellbeing strategies that encourage men to seek support and prioritise their mental health.

Breathwork became an important part of Jess's own wellbeing journey, providing practical tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and create moments of calm amidst the demands of everyday life. Experiencing the positive impact of breathwork firsthand inspired her to learn more and ultimately share these powerful techniques with others. She is passionate about helping people discover simple, accessible practices that can enhance mental wellbeing, improve resilience, and strengthen connection.

Through Breathe. Connect. Thrive., Jess combines her workforce expertise, community knowledge, and passion for mental health and wellbeing to deliver engaging, evidence-based training that empowers individuals, strengthens teams, and creates healthier workplaces and communities.

"I believe that resilience isn't about pushing through or doing it all alone. It's about having the tools, support, and connections that help us navigate life's challenges, care for our wellbeing, and create the conditions to truly thrive." – Jess Cochrane-Baker
